Nga Tamariki is a geothermal power station commissioned in 2013 and operated by Mercury Energy. The site is located 17km north of Taupo.

Fast facts:

  • Connection of new production well to power station; Warner’s constructed the two-phase (steam and gas) pipeline (NM12) - 1.3km long and 600NB diameter.

  • Wellhead pipe work 500NB and 450NB.

  • Minimum flow system including silencer, cooling channel and brine storage pond was constructed to allow the well to continue to flow at reduced rates in the event of pipeline isolation for maintenance and/or plant shutdown.
