Tnue New Zealand

Date: 2023

Location: He Ahi Eco Business Park, Taupo

Client: Tnue (Total nutrient use efficiency)

Fast Facts:

  • Tnue’s business fertiliser delivery solutions operation requires steam to process heat. This can be offered by either gas, coal or geothermal resources.

As the first business operation at He Ahi CleanTech park Tnue’s investment was to secure their long-term goal for more sustainable running costs, compared to other steam-heated methods.

  • A bespoke engineering project for Tnue was completed by Warner Construction and the following components were included.

  • Custom built heat exchanger that receives up to 400 litres of water per cycle which is then converted into new steam and is fed into the Tnue plant by a blower.

  • This Clean Tech Park is one of a kind in New Zealand and Tnue is one of the first businesses to tap into this natural resource.

Client Feedback:

  • Having the Warner Construction workshop and maintenance team based in Taupo gives them an edge over other suppliers, as they are conveniently located for construction and readily available for any maintenance or service needs. And an added piece of mine for an operation that has remote running capabilities.
